It was so encouraging to be able to introduce so many artists to the joys of the indigo on my first course.

One of these artists, Liz Ackerley, took to this inky chunk immediately and forged a relationship that uncovered its potential and qualities while using it to explore her moorland surroundings up in the North West of England.

I was so impressed by her enthusiastic response to the course and the results she achieved in her work that I invited her to give us some insight into how she now incorporates the indigo into her art practice.
