Just Add Water

Following on from the success of my Indigo a gogo courses, I would love to introduce you to yet another side of my creative process working purely with watercolour from my inspirational florals.

This course i designed as an introduction to my way of working and has been cherry picked from content I produced as part of an online subscription course.

A sneaky peek...

A taster of the course content

Welcome to my floral world...

I do so love painting with the fluidity and flow of watercolour, harnessing its unique characteristics to reflect and evoke the beauty of the natural world, and what better subject could I have chosen than flowers to encourage a joyful and playful use of liberated colour.

In this curated selection of painting demonstrations, introductory projects and films from my Patreon* membership group you will begin to see how I take the subject of florals and botanicals and let them open up a whole world of connection, curiosity and introspection. By allowing ourselves to communicate with our subject and the evolving art we create out of this, we are able to enter a mindful state of 'flow' and celebrate our innate connection with the world in which we live.

If you are fascinated by the mindset of an artist at work, and want to understand how decisions are made as the painting progresses, this series of films and projects will give you an insight into my personal creative process. If you are looking for information on the art materials and techniques I use in my watercolours, then my reaction to abstraction approach will encourage you to explore the art of composition and help you to create a series of joyful and positive work as I walk you through one of my painting projects.

Colour, composition, techniques, materials, mark making... all of these and more will be addressed and available for you to focus on at your leisure.

And with the opportunity to purchase a curated selection of Wallace Seymour's Vintage Watercolours you too can be seduced by the alchemy, colour and freedom inherent in this most organic of mediums …

It is time to welcome in a world of possibilities, the possibilities of joyous colour, shifting light, captured shapes, expressive line and nuanced texture.

Frequently asked questions

You’ve got questions. I’ve got answers.

How long do I have access to this taster course?

Once you've enrolled and paid, you'll have access for the lifetime of the course so please feel free to devour it over a day or to take your time. It's your choice!

What format does it take?

My selection of painting demonstrations is accompanied with films talking about my choice of materials plus my approaches to creating a series of work from start to finish. You will be encouraged to follow my creative process with downloadable worksheets as you work alongside me.

What materials will I need?

I recommend that you have artist quality watercolours, a selection of brushes in different shapes and sizes, and various papers, from thick cartridge through to sheets of watercolour paper. There is more information on the full range of materials that I have to hand in the art materials lesson.

Do I need to be an experienced artist ?

This course is suitable for all artists who are open to working with curiosity and a willingness to play and explore their materials.

How much time will it take to complete this course?

I do not like to put timings on my courses as they are self paced. You could rush through it in a day or linger over it for a lifetime! If pressed i would say to allow 2 full days to watch the content and to complete the projects.

Not at the moment.

Can I share any content from this with my friends?

As it has taken a lot of time to prepare this online course I would appreciate it if you did not share any of the content with others. I am happy for you to share your work on social media but please tag me or give me a mention.

Well, I would be sad but I am afraid that once you have accessed the course I am not able to give refunds. Your feed back is important to me though so do please get in touch if you have any problems.
